Fall Voice Retreat for Actors with Designated Linklater Voice Teacher Sarah Weatherwax
Enjoy an intensive learning experience in a beautiful environment.
Let the clean air clear your lungs, your mind, your heart.
Learn lots of voice/body warm-ups, including exercises to do right before working. With a free voice, actors pick up on dialects more easily, listen more fully and are transformed by text more believably.
Expand your vocal range and flexibility. Develop a stronger yet more emotionally transparent voice.
Reconnect with your imagination and sense of play. Work on a monologue and a poem.
In the downtime, sit by the bonfire. Or play ping-pong. Or go for a hike. Or stare at the lake. Or sing.
During these unusually stressful times, nature and space are your friends. At all times, your voice is you.
This retreat will help you relax, which is good for your health.
You will develop your talent, which is good for your career.
You will connect with people, which is good for your soul.
You will be freeing your voice which is good for you physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and creatively.
