Thursday Evenings - February 28 - April 4, 2019


A practical approach to scene study that incorporates the teachings of Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen and Kristin Linklater. Each class includes a vocal warm-up, technique exercises and improvisations to explore the circumstances and characters of the scenes. Hone your craft in a supportive, creative and dynamic environment.

You will have an opportunity to work on two scenes or one scene and one monologue over 6 weeks and are expected to learn lines and rehearse with your scene partner between classes.

Maximum of 10 Actors.

INSTRUCTOR: Heather Dick, CAEA, ACTRA, Designated Linklater Teacher, VASTA

Heather Dick is an accomplished performer, director, Designated Linklater Voice Teacher, and acting instructor who loves to bring humour into every aspect of her work. Over the last 25 years, she has coached and taught acting workshops for several Toronto studios, Ryerson Polytechnic University (Dance Program), the Theatre Ontario Summer Courses Program (4 years), Brock University, and many community theatres as well as for the Sirius Theatrical Company. She has worked across Canada performing in, directing or producing more than 70 shows and is a highly sought-after acting coach.
