STAF, SpiderWebShow and MarchLab join forces this March to present Outside the March co-Artistic Director & professional web developer Simon W. Bloom as he leads you through two three-hour Squarespace workshops that will transform you from a website-deficient newbie who has little to no experience with CMS platforms into an experienced, website-building curator of your own domain.
*What is SQUARESPACE?
Squarespace is an incredibly easy, fun, and user friendly online tool for hosting and making beautiful websites. Its harnesses the power of more complicated platforms like WordPress while maintaining a simplicity in design and user experience. From its curated designs to easy drag-and-drop tools, it is a must-use for creatives looking to build an online presence.
Through hands-on training, you will learn how to plan, design, curate, and publish your website. In two days— only 6 hours — you will learn to:
Create and manage an account on Squarespace
Brainstorm/plan your website & Build a sitemap for your website
Use Squarespace's built-in Site Manager and Formatting tools
Register for a domain name (www.yourwebsite.com)
Build a professional quality website for your personal portfolio or theatre company that is ready to be launched.
Participants must bring their own laptop and power cord (Mac or PC is fine) and be able to attend both evenings. Space is limited so reserve in advance.
