About Clelia Farrugia

Clelia’s broad range of arts management experience has taken her from Europe to Canada. She began her arts career as a theatre for young audience programmer at a cultural centre in the suburbs of Paris, France, while she pursued her university degree in theatre studies.

Clelia has worked for the former European Music Office and the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels. Since moving to Canada in 2007, she has worked in various artistic organizations. She has served as Director of Development for the Glenn Gould Foundation, and as Membership Development Manager for the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT). In 2014 she became the Executive Director of Le Laboratoire d’art (Le Labo), Toronto's francophone media arts centre. Clelia was OAC’s Francophone Arts Officer from 2016 to 2019 and was appointed Theatre Officer in January 2020.

Clelia holds a master’s degree in theatre studies from l’Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle, as well as a diploma in business management from l’École Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales d’Angers, France.
