Arts Ahead Announces First Symposium, “The Art of Collaborative Management”
Toronto— Arts Ahead is an exciting initiative led by the Centennial College Arts Management post-graduate students, organizing a symposium for small to large arts and cultural organizations. Arts Ahead seeks to start conversations about the pros and cons on collaboration and co-production with artists and arts managers from the GTA and beyond in “The Arts of Collaborative Management” Symposium.
The symposium’s inaugural theme actively explores the management of risks associated with forming cross organizational and cross disciplinary partnerships in the rapidly changing arts and culture industry. The symposium is a full day of programming that includes panel discussions on “Funders on the Pros and Cons of Partnerships and Co-productions”, workshops on “How to Write an A+ Grant Proposal” and a keynote on Risk Management by Robert Sirman, the former director and CEO of the Canada Council of the Arts.
The Art of Collaborative Management Symposium is on Tuesday February 16th, 2016 from 9 – 4 pm at Centennial College’s centrally located Story Arts Centre campus in Toronto (951 Carlaw Avenue, Toronto).
