Industry Listing, Workshop / Classes.

We’re announcing a new unique workshop led by long-time collaborators Viktor Lukawski and Adam Paolozza (The Double, Business As Usual, Italian Mime Suicide//Three Red Days):

The Deviser’s Lab
an intensive three day introduction to devised creation

>Are you a theatre creator?
>Do you crave practical skills to develop your ideas from concept to performance?
>Do you crave collaboration?
>Are you curious about devised creation?
We’ve created this workshop to share some of the strategies and practical exercises we use to develop new work. Our goal is to help expand the artist’s creative palette and provide participants with a multifaceted approach to developing new ideas for the stage.
Each of the three days will begin with physical training (based on the Lecoq pedagogy) and then move onto devised creation. Using source material provided by Viktor and Adam, participants will be led through the beginning of a devised process, experimenting with a variety performative approaches, such as:

physical/gestural work
object theatre/puppetry
choral work
music and more.

There will also be discussions, placing participants’ work in a healthy, critical context.
If you’re an artist or a collective that is interested in how to start a process of creation for the stage, Viktor and Adam will help you unlock your creative potential and expand your creative playground.
We encourage participants of all disciplines, abilities and ethnicities to apply. Already established groups of collaborators/ creative partners are also welcome and will have a chance to further develop their group’s creative language.
