Part of Harbourfront Centre’s World Stage Masterclass series, Zata Omm Dance Projects will use choreographic resources that are designed to develop participants’ personal imagination skills in order to enhance the creation of new and original dance movement.
New and original movement phrases will be created specifically for the workshop participants. The choreographic resources are based upon the methods and principles artistic director William Yong established during collaborative movement research from times when he built his own bodies of works, including the forthcoming World Stage presentation of vox:lumen. This workshop will enable participants to explore and expand their thinking beyond movement; develop independence in improvisation; and think effectively when developing movement motivation, reflection and analysis.
All participants who attend this ATC are eligible for a discount to see Zata Omm Dance Projects present vox:lumen at World Stage in March at the Harbourfront Centre Theatre.
