Donations to P.A.I.S. (Performing Arts Information Service) support many valuable programs of The Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA).

TAPA supports professional theatre, dance and opera organizations in Toronto in addition to a wide variety of performing arts practitioners. Your donation to this valuable organization supports Toronto’s theatre, dance and opera community — and is greatly appreciated.

Celebrating Achievements Together

This past year in our new home at B Street: 749 Artists worked in the studios; 23 Fringe teams across 4 festivals including Rhubarb, Fringe, SummerWorks, and Paprika; 16 arts educators offered classes from acting and scene studies to burlesque and hip hop; 8 free artist networking events were hosted in the Jon Kaplan Community Lounge.

These accomplishments are not just numbers; they represent lives changed, hope restored, and futures brightened. But don’t take our word for it, here’s what the artists are saying:

The new TAPA space is modern, bright and filled with promise; it feels like a ”secret agent headquarters” except that it’s extremely accessible and instead of secret agents, it’s built for artists of all kinds. As someone who’s a part of an emerging generation of theatre artists; in times where even church spaces are becoming unaffordable, spaces like this are more crucial than ever. It is such a great resource for young artists like myself who are looking for places to explore, to rehearse, or just to gather.

The Jon Kaplan Community Lounge is a spacious and welcoming  “living room” environment, surrounded by bookshelves of Jon’s play collection where we can drop in, have a coffee, borrow a book, sink into a couch, and chat with colleagues. What a gift to our community! A space like this is an oasis, and can easily be described as “Magical”.
