CALLING ALL EMERGING ARTS LEADERS! 🎭✨
Theatre Ya Knowww (TYK) is seeking an Assistant Producer and Production Manager for our PiR (Playwrights-in-Residence) Program!
🌟 This is a paid opportunity ($100 honorarium), as you will support the curation, development, and staging of new work in Vaughan + Toronto. We’re looking for folks with skills in care-based arts, dramaturgy, logistics, time management, and values-based arts—with a passion for reciprocal, sustainable theatre-making.
🌿 How do we give theatre back to the land? How do we build a system valuing experiences over commodification? Let’s explore together.
Asst. Producer
The Assistant Producer would help with curating the program structure as well as a festival staging of plays.
They should be experienced/skilled in:
• Care-based arts; for reciprocity
• Dramaturgy; for new development and audience engagement/support
• Logistics; for funding, sponsorship, venue rental, and social media
Emerging artists and folks with connections to the York Region are most def. welcome!
This program is in the city of Vaughan + Toronto.
Prod. Manager
The Production Manager would ensure efficiency/smoothness to the program structure and festival staging of plays.
They should be experienced/skilled in:
• Logistics; for venue set-up / strike / tech (lights, set, sound, projections)
• Time management; for work-back planning and streamlining process
• Values-based arts; for contracting
Emerging artists and folks with connections to Northern Ontario are most def. welcome!
This program is in the city of Vaughan + Toronto.
