We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, astute and results-driven Senior Manager of Development to lead and manage all aspects of corporate partnerships, fundraising, and development initiatives.

Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000 annual salary, plus a comprehensive benefits package
Location: At our waterfront campus in downtown Toronto. A hybrid work model (onsite 3+ days per week) is currently in place, subject to change based on organizational need
SUMMARY OF FUNCTION
The Senior Manager of Development is responsible for creating and executing strategic plans to secure corporate sponsorships and philanthropic support, playing a key role in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, donors, and stakeholders to advance the organization’s mission and impact. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in fundraising and corporate sponsorship, along with outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and execution of comprehensive fundraising, development, and corporate sponsorship strategies to grow revenue and align with the organization’s vision and strategic priorities.
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit individual, corporate, and foundation donors, with a focus on securing major gifts and long-term support.
- Manage a portfolio of key sponsors and donors, providing consistent stewardship and tailored communications to foster lasting relationships.
- Collaborate closely with the Leadership Team and key stakeholders to design and implement impactful fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the arts and culture sector and stay up to date with fundraising trends and best practices.
- Represent the organization at events and actively engage with donors, sponsors, and community partners to strengthen relationships and visibility.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to fundraising and development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate sponsorship, fundraising and development.
- Proven success in securing and stewarding corporate sponsorships, major gifts, and philanthropic support.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans that meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations, ethical standards, and CRA guidelines related to charitable giving in Canada.
- Knowledge of fundraising software and tools, including donor databases, online giving platforms and other fundraising technologies.
- Familiarity with the arts and culture sector is an asset.
- Experience working collaboratively with leadership and board members on fundraising strategy and donor engagement.
- Post-secondary education in fundraising, nonprofit management, arts administration, communications, or a related field; CFRE designation is an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Non-Canadian applicants must have a valid documentation authorizing their ability to work in Canada on an ongoing basis.
- This role is based in Toronto and the candidate must be able to work on site at our lakeside campus. A hybrid work model (onsite 3+ days per week) is currently in place, subject to change based on organizational need.
