We are currently seeking a diligent, organized, reliable and collaborative Site Operations Coordinator to support the Manager, Site Operations in ensuring the cleanliness of our 10-acre site, as well as to coordinate the set-up/take-down needs for events, programs and activities taking place at our venues and spaces.

- Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, with a work schedule that requires the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, based on departmental demand
- Compensation: Annual salary of $47,000 – $52,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package
- Work Location: On-site at our waterfront campus, with some remote work possible as per our Remote Work Policy and based on organizational need
Duties
- Under the direction of the Manager, Site Operations, act as the primary point of contact between Harbourfront Centre and our contracted cleaning services provider, assessing the work being performed to ensure that it meets our expectations and service standards.
- Conduct routine site inspections and audits to assess cleanliness, and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Where service issues are noted, implement corrective actions to ensure that the service delivery meets contractual obligations.
- As needed, assist with daily cleaning and site preparation for scheduled events.
- Respond to radio calls for cleaning spills, supply requests, and last-minute event setup needs.

Act as the main point of contact between the Site Operations team and internal/external stakeholders to coordinate venue and space setup/takedown for events, programs, and activities.
- Conduct interdepartmental meetings to ensure alignment on site needs and event requirements, ensuring that required set-up/tear-down support is provided efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and distribute weekly event diagrams.

Assist the Manager, Site Operations with scheduling and overseeing custodial and event setup/takedown staff across the campus.
- Ensure that workers (whether it be our own staff or service provider’s) are aware and knowledgeable on the safe handling of chemicals, cleaning procedures, and event setup/teardown protocols, maintaining and enforcing health and safety standards in all work conducted.
- Monitor equipment and ensure timely maintenance and repairs, maintaining accurate records.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring supplies are procured on time while overseeing purchase orders and invoice processing to maintain budget control and financial accountability.

Under the direction of the Manager, Site Operations, develop and enforce departmental policies and procedures as required.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature as required and as directed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a coordinator or supervisory role within a commercial cleaning, custodial operations, or event space setup area.
- Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and to provide constructive feedback relating to performance and/or to address issues that require solutions and/or improvement.
- Able to and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, with an aptitude for flexibility and adaptability.
- A service-oriented and process-improvement mentality.
- Reliable, trustworthy, with a can-do attitude.
- Flexibility and availability to work evenings and/or weekends at times to meet departmental demands.
- Recent WHMIS certification (within the last year).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Working at Heights and First Aid/CPR certification is desirable.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Non-Canadian applicants must have a valid employment Visa and proper documentation authorizing their ability to work in Canada on an ongoing, full-time basis.
