Hard-Bitten Productions is holding auditions for our upcoming production of Dear Ms. Kitt.
Synopsis: After learning of her mother’s death, Nina, an estranged singer, returns home to discover that she’s inherited more than she expected. Dear Ms. Kitt is a family drama exploring guilt, motherhood and abandonment.
Performances and Tech: Aug 18 to 24th
Rehearsals: Begin in June, flexible scheduling with a combination of weekdays, evenings and weekends
Pay: Profit-share model

NINA, Black, Female, 25 to 35
Nina is a 32-year old performer in more ways than one. Although she is charming, her temper is volatile and she isn’t always honest. She spent the last decade drifting around Europe, estranged from her family, finding ways to cope with her guilt.

UNCLE DEVON, Black, Male, 45+
Uncle Devon is a 58-year old retired musician, often living in the memories of his heydays on the road. He’s easy-going and reasonable, although his niece Nina is able to test his patience. He has stage four liver disease, so he wants to set his affairs in order before it’s too late.

Rose is an energetic, precocious 12-year old, who speaks a mile a minute. She’s dramatic and lives in her made up little world. She’s got attitude and dreams of being a big star.
