Land, Place, Home is a five-week workshop series that offer a unique opportunity for newcomers, immigrants, and refugees to engage in creative expression through theatre and storytelling. Participants will collaborate to craft a new play, with the potential for a public performance in February/March 2026. No prior acting or performance experience is required—just a willingness to share and create together. This project is a collaborative effort led by Open Heart Arts Theatre, Hamilton Festival Theatre Company (HFTco), and ABRAR Trauma and Mental Health Services.
Workshop Details:
- Dates: April 28 – May 26, 2025 (5 consecutive Mondays)
- Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: Downtown Hamilton
- Participation: Free of charge; no prior experience necessary
