CALL FOR ACTORS
The new play Meat Market is looking for 4-7 actors to play various roles. We’re looking for queer actors. Most roles are ensemble characters being double/triple cast.
Meat Market is a 50-minute one-act play about a young queer person and their journey of exploring their sexuality and gender identity in an odd but common way… online. The main character turns to queer dating/ hookup apps to see what’s out there for them, and it’s bleak. Met with outlandish but oddly realistic characters, they find themselves scared but intrigued. The play is raunchy, funny, and relatable. Meat Market is part of the Hamilton Fringe Festival.
Actors will receive an honorarium of $100-$500 based on grants and revenue.
Auditions will be on March 7th (location TBD) Preliminary readings and meetings will start in early April. Rehearsals will be May-July. The show run is July 16-27, 2025.
