AUDITION NOTICE: “IRIS (SAYS GOODBYE)”
Mixtape Projects is seeking performers for our 2025 Toronto Fringe production of “Iris (says goodbye)”.
SYNOPSIS In a giant endless airport where souls await their final departure, Iris has been granted a rare opportunity: the chance to return to earth and live another lifetime. Before she can return, she must choose which life she would like to live next, presented as individual musical acts that shape the narrative. The audience determines her journey live each night by randomly selecting 8 acts from 24 possibilities, creating a unique show every performance.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION “Iris (says goodbye)” is the winner of the Toronto Fringe Adam’s Prize for Musical Theatre and will be performing a 7 show run at Soulpepper’s Michael Young Theatre July 2nd-13th, 2025.

COMMITMENT
- Weekly rehearsals beginning after casting
- Intensive 3-week rehearsal period in June 2025
- 7 performances July 2nd-13th, 2025
ROLES AVAILABLE
IRIS (Iris will be portrayed by three female identifying/non binary performers)
CHORUS (3 female identifying/non binary performers, 2 male identifying/non binary performers, these performers will take on multiple roles in the piece)
Looking for strong vocalists aged 20-35, based in Toronto
- Strong sight readers, music learners and movers
- Quick learners able to handle multiple tracks
- Team players excited by experimental theatre
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Please submit:
- Headshot and resume
- Self-tape of a contemporary musical theatre cut (2 minutes max) that showcases your vocal range (as a Google Drive or YouTube link)

COMPENSATION This is a profit share production with a guaranteed minimum payment of $200.
