Location and Status: Virtual – 37.5 hours per week

Reports to: Executive Director

Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000

The Siminovitch Theatre Foundation (STF) uplifts groundbreaking theatre artists through financial awards, profile-building, mentorship and network development activities.

Job Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for measurably growing audience engagement and awareness of STF programs, opportunities, and network.

 Key Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to marketing and community engagement strategies
  • Developing and executing short-and long-term marketing campaigns across all digital platforms
  • Producing a monthly calendar of unique written and video content including, and not limited to, e-newsletter, Backstage Conversations videos, artist interviews
  • Packaging content for an education market and increasing use of STF resources in the classroom
  • Creating project timelines and ensuring all deliverables are met
  • Coordinating the creation of marketing materials
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all platforms
  • Maintaining the integrity of the community database (Keela)
  • Keeping website content up to date
  • Maintaining search engine optimization and increasing search engine marketing and application of the Google Grant
  • Monitoring and maintaining the inventory of promotional materials
  • Coordinating the Siminovitch Prize nomination process
  • Updating ongoing record of program impact
  • Conducting annual evaluations, reporting on results, and delivering recommendations to improve results
  • Coordinating the fulfillment of sponsorship and partnership deliverables
  • Insuring correct crediting and rights approvals for any use of artistic work
  • Setting annual and campaign growth targets and analyzing campaign ROI by capturing and tracking performance
  • Developing monthly and annual reports on performance, deriving insights and recommending actions to improve marketing performance
  • Supporting fundraising through the implementation of digital strategies and other various activities
  • Liaising with external vendors
  • Supporting outreach event logistics and execution
  • Other administrative duties as required

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • 5 years of experience in marketing/communications
  • degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent
  • storyteller and a wordsmith with a keen eye for editing and aesthetics
  • knowledge of best practices in content creation, website content management, and digital marketing tools
  • knowledge of Google Analytics and experience in initiating and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
  • ability to work with a database to input, track, and analyze data
  • high level of initiative, ability to work independently
  • ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects with strict deadlines
  • English/French bilingualism an asset
