Marketing & Partnerships Coordinator

TO Live is one of Canada’s largest multi-arts organizations, operating Meridian Hall, St. Lawrence Centre, and Meridian Arts Centre. We are committed to Truth and Reconciliation through our programming and staff initiatives.

We’re seeking a full-time Marketing & Partnerships Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing and communications team. This role offers a behind-the-scenes look at iconic performances, opportunities to collaborate with artists shaping Toronto’s arts scene, and a chance to support a wide range of events — including Indigenous-led programming like concerts, art exhibits, and the bi-annual UpFRONT Festival of Indigenous Arts, Music, and Culture.

The ideal candidate is passionate about the performing arts, highly organized, and a strong collaborator. As a cross-functional team player, you’ll work with a variety of departments and team members such as the Director of Indigenous Affairs, and the Indigenous Cultural Curator.

Key responsibilities include supporting marketing initiatives, managing client relationships (e.g., promoters and cultural organizations), community outreach, website updates, and day-to-day operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner & Outreach Management (50%):

  • Assist the Marketing Manager with onboarding new rental clients, partners and management of ongoing projects.
  • Maintains professional communication and timely responses with clients and partners via email, virtual meetings, and phone.
  • Ensures marketing support deliverables are fulfilled in a timely manner and in accordance with the requirements established in the contracts.
  • Guides rental clients and partners through creative specs required for content publishing on TO Live channels.
  • Maintain and manage list of partners and artistic organizations and proactively coordinates cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Assists Marketing Manager with on-site cross-promotional support at events and festivals as required.

Creative Project Management (25%):

  • Assist with the sourcing of marketing materials from creative partners and help manage approvals for the different content pieces in production.
  • Manage the execution of creative deliverables within the established budgets and tight timelines.
  • Gather feedback from multiple stakeholders and work in close collaboration with the graphic designer on the implementation of requested changes.
  • Keep track of all invoices and documents and work in closely with the marketing specialist to ensure project budgets are on track.

Content & Web (25%)

  • Support Sr. Content Marketing Manager with the creation and distribution of email marketing campaigns
  • Review and ensure marketing collateral does not contain errors before it goes into market.
  • Create new website pages and follow standards for quality assurance, update and tweak content on existing web pages.
  • Support social media and web coordinator on the scheduling and managing of social posts as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • 2 – 3 years minimum experience in a similar position/environment.
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or lived experience-equivalent in marketing, business administration or business or relevant discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), internet and office equipment.
  • Prior experience with project management platforms (Asana, Monday, Wrike, Trello) an asset.
  • Strong understanding of content management platforms (Drupal, Webflow, WordPress) and website management.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills both internally and externally.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and keen attention to details.
  • Must have the ability to anticipate, understand, articulate and respond to the needs of the department to meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Must have the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness; ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary; ability to multi-task and follow up is a must.

This position is supported by Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training and the following eligibility criteria apply:

  • Potential candidates must be registered with Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training to be eligible to register.
  • Must be First Nations, Inuit or Métis.
  • Must reside within the GTA.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Flexibility in hours and schedules and include work on nights and weekends as required.
  • Lack of natural light in workplace.
  • Travel between TO Live venues as required.
