Brefny Caribou is a Cree/Irish-Canadian performer and creator from Toronto, ON.  With curiosity, compassion, and lots of humour, Brefny focuses on works and subject matter surrounding identity, culture, decolonization, and strives to interrogate and evolve her own practice on the regular. Brefny has had the privilege of working across the country including Infinithéâtre (Montreal, QC), Theatre Kingston (Kingston, ON), Urban Ink/Caravan Farm Theatre (Armstrong B.C.), and Aluna Theatre (Toronto, ON).

Most recently Brefny appeared in the Aluna Theatre/Nightwood Theatre production of The Solitudes, of which is credited as ensemble member and co-creator. This summer Brefny will be making her Stratford debut as Zhaboonigan Peterson in Tomson Highway’s Rez Sisters. She hold an M.F.A. From York University in Acting.
