
Celeste Sansregret was born in Winnipeg’s legendary North End and has worked as a writer, producer, arts manager, theatre blogger and performer. She first went on stage at age 3 1/2, appearing in over 30 plays, numerous films, and two national Fringe tours with her solo shows: WONDERBAR! and IN A MAGIC KINGDOM. Other writing includes: FAMILY JEWELS, THE MISTRESS TRILOGIES, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL and two features film scripts: VOODOO and NATURAL JUSTICE. She co-created 5-star Winnipeg Fringe hit, BREAST FRIENDS and has two works in development: URSA MAJORIS & PREDATION, both supported by Native Earth Performing Arts. She is the recipient of a Banff Fellowship and a Harold Greenberg Award and is a graduate of both the University of Winnipeg (Theatre) and The Canadian Film Centre. Currently Celeste is the Managing Director at the Centre for Indigenous Theatre.
