For forty+ years, active as a trainer, consultant, educator and leader, Jerry established the professional theatre training program at Humber College, and founded the college’s post diploma certificate programs in Arts Administration/Cultural Management.
Jerry’s experience includes a wide range of leadership roles on Boards of Directors: President/Chairman of the Boards of Arts Consultants Canada, Theatre Ontario, South Etobicoke Cultural Plan, Lakeshore Arts, Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra, Assembly Hall; selected as a Volunteer of the Year as well as Cultural Champion, Toronto. Currently, Jerry serves a member of the ArtsVote Toronto and Arts Day at City Hall campaigns, a member of the peer assessment panels for the ArtsVest Program, as well as the Imagine Canada accreditation program.
As a freelance consultant, Jerry has carried out feasibility studies, program reviews and strategic plans for MCC, OAC,, the Living Arts Centre, the Imperial Oil Centre for the Performing Arts, Arbor Theatre , Regent Theatre, Lakeshore Arts, Clay and Paper Theatre, Urban Arts, Neilson Park Creative Centre and HCA Dance Theatre.
