Leslie Hernandez (she/her) is a technical director & production manager of Filipina-Chinese ancestry. Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Leslie has been able to call Toronto home over the years. Though she considers management her expertise, she is also notably an interdisciplinary artist who often seeks new and intriguing challenges. Graduating from the Production Design & Technical Arts program at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, Leslie also holds a Bachelor of Science in Honours Chemistry with Thesis and a Certificate of Arts Management from the University of Windsor. She aims to keep working on relevant and innovative theatre pieces throughout Canada and looks forward to the diverse future of Canadian theatre that is inclusive of everyone — regardless of their race, gender, or ability. Formerly TD for Canadian Stage and Tarragon Theatre, Leslie is now the current Technical Director of Soulpepper Theatre Company — Canada’s leading artist-driven theatre company.
