MK Piatkowski (she/her) has had a varied career in and out of theatre.  As Artistic Director of one big umbrella, she advocated for arts funding, especially around international touring support, and initiated discussions about the future of theatre in Toronto, a task she is thrilled to return to by working for TAPA. She also ran the Umbrella Talks interview series with playwrights from around the world. A graduate of Humber College’s Arts Administration program, she parlayed her knowledge to work in various support capacities for a number of arts organizations, most recently as stage door supervisor at the St Lawrence Centre for the Arts. She served twice on the Best of Fringe jury and has worked on a variety of fringe shows. She then left the arts world for a while and most recently worked at S&P Data Digital first as a sales agent, then as a trainer. She is a certified facilitator for Corporate Culture SHIFT, developed by the former artistic director of Magnetic North, Ken Cameron, to help organizations build an effective culture to support high performance teams. She has transitioned one big umbrella into a personal development venture focused on increasing love and happiness in the world.
