With over 25 years acting on stage and screen, Sarah is best known for her role as mommy and me leader Val Szalinsky in the CBC/Netflix hit comedy series Workin’ Moms. Sarah’s other credits include Detention Adventure (CBC/HBOmax), American Gods (Amazon) and The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu). Sarah began her career with five seasons performing at the Stratford Festival of Canada where her roles included: Cordelia in King Lear opposite Christopher Plummer, The Bawd in Pericles and Lady MacDuff in Macbeth. Sarah was a member of the 2001 Stratford Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training and the recipient of the John Hirsh Award for Most Promising Young Actor. Sarah co-created The Public Servant, a play developed by Common Boots Theatre which played to sold-out houses in Ottawa (GCTC) and Toronto (Nightwood Theatre). Sarah has worked extensively as a voice-over artist in commercials (local and national campaigns), industrials and voicing multiple roles for the animated series The Secret Life of Benjamin Bear. She is also an accomplished teacher of acting.
