Shawn is a set and costume designer who has worked across Canada, in the US and in England for over 40 years. Her work has been seen in companies ranging the Stratford Festival and Mirvish Productions to Summerworks. With 180 productions to her credit including over 60 world premieres, her commitment to developing new work continues, most recently designing sets for Grand Ghosts at London’s Grand Theatre. She designed windows for Toronto’s flagship Tiffany &; Co. for over 6 years when it arrived in Toronto. Shawn continues as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Theatre at York University where she was Chair of the theatre Department for 6 years. She is currently developing a new course in Virtual Costume Design which will begin in January of ’23.
Upcoming projects include set design for Come From Away to be produced in Gander, NFLD in 2023.
