In follow-up to the TAPA letter sent to ADM Kevin Finnerty at the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture for the Province of Ontario on Tuesday January 12, 2021; TAPA received a reply letter on Friday afternoon January 15, 2021. Click here to read the letter. This is disappointing news and we again encourage TAPA members to seek legal counsel if you are engaging in these activities.
We want to remind all TAPA members again that we are continuing to work with the City of Toronto who have advised us that City Legal Services are engaging the Province in ongoing communications. We are also working with our friends at CLMA (Canadian Live Music Association) and in allignment with our messaging, and thank them for their work and acknowledge this important partnership for our collective advocacy efforts.
TAPA has been advised that the measures announced last week will be in effect until at least February 11th. The extension of the orders noted below is a standard measure that is required to keep them in force.
