About the Course
How do we work scenes of intimacy in the acting classroom without the support of an Intimacy Director or Choreographer?
The industry expectations around scenes of intimacy have undergone enormous shifts in recent years. In this course, you’ll learn (or get a refresher on) current standards from one of Canada’s leading Intimacy Professionals, and gain vital tools on how you can bring these standards into your acting class. Using consent-forward practices and a collaborative model, coaches learn how their teaching can safely explore and integrate intimate scenes without needing an Intimacy Professional. These small but significant adjustments contribute to an atmosphere that encourages vulnerable and brave explorations for actors working on challenging material.
