Assistant Patron Services Manager

TO Live has an exciting full-time opportunity in its Patron & Events Services Department in the role of Assistant Patron Services Manager.

Under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Patron Services or their representative, the Assistant Patron Service Manager collaborates closely with the management team to support daily department operations.

This role will be primarily located in Meridian Hall.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise a unionized patron service team, overseeing front of house, food and beverage, merchandise, and house/contract security personnel to ensure professional patron experiences during performances and events.
  • Coordinate shows and events as required.
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, and training of Front of House support staff.
  • Foster a positive staff environment, addressing concerns and resolving issues or escalating to senior management.
  • Address patron complaints, concerns, and feedback promptly, escalating as needed.
  • Implement evacuation protocols for the front of house area during emergencies, collaborating with emergency services.
  • Enforce employee conduct standards, uniform policies, and hygiene requirements.
  • Assist with nightly cash-out procedures for concessions and merchandise, preparing reports including house counts, deposits, lost and found items, and patron feedback.
  • Manage staff uniforms and inventory, ordering name tags and uniforms, stocking supplies, and scheduling laundry.
  • Support staff scheduling and the maintenance of IATSE B-173 staff seniority and contact lists.
  • Assist with departmental service and purchase orders, and update event information in Momentus.
  • Undertake special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Smart Serve Certified.
  • Previous experience in live events or venue management preferred.
  • Essential administrative experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Explorer, and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate POS systems.
  • Effective communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrates initiative and works well with minimal supervision.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires fast-paced mobility throughout shifts.
  • Familiarity with union environments and Collective Bargaining agreements.
  • Variable hours including late nights and weekends.
  • Work may occur in settings lacking natural light.
  • Travel between TO Live venues as needed.

Salary Range:  $55,000 – $60,000
