Musical Theatre Intensive: Body, Voice & Presence
November 16–22, 2026 | Toronto
24 hours of intensive training with Thom Allison, Alix Sideris and John Beale
A week-long intensive for actors and musical theatre performers looking to deepen their presence, expand their physical freedom, and bring greater connection and authenticity to their work.
Bringing together three complementary approaches—presence and play, embodied movement, and musical theatre performance—this intensive explores how body, voice, text, and imagination can work together to create performances that are more spontaneous, specific, and alive.
Through physical exploration, ensemble work, improvisation, and acting through song, participants will investigate the relationship between impulse and expression, finding greater freedom and responsiveness in performance.
The emphasis is not simply on developing technique, but on discovering how to become more available, connected, and fully present in the work.
