CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: ACOUSTIC, ENERGETIC MUSICAL ACT
A new performance co-produced by Quiptake Theatre, The Theatre Centre, and The National Arts Centre’s National Creation Fund is looking for a live, mostly-acoustic musical act to appear on stage this November.
We need a fun, musical act to create a party atmosphere for about 10 minutes nightly. We are open to all sounds and genres, but the act must fit the following criteria:
- Acoustic, or not-requiring significant amps or microphones (i.e. can start playing with very little setup)
- Comfortable on stage: you will be joining the performers briefly.
- Fun! This can be interpreted in many different ways and we love to get ~weird~.
- Local to Toronto/Parkdale/Queen West is ideal but not required.
- Available for approx 18 performances in the west end of Toronto from November 10-29 (exact dates & times can be provided via email)
We can offer a flat fee of $3000+ for this commitment, depending on the size/requirements of your band.
