Arthur Burrows is a Toronto-based theatre artist. He has worked professionally as an actor, as an educator, and at the intersection of these two worlds. His work as an actor has included touring to schools in Metaphysical Theatre’s theatre for young audiences production Fool’s Gold which also appeared in the Toronto Fringe Festival. As an educator, Arthur is a passionate advocate for social justice. He has developed equity-focused units for students of all ages, works to bring the plays of underrepresented artists into the classroom, and delivers workshops, most recently at the TDSB’s EnVision Conference. He has also worked to support teachers as Publications Chair for the Council of Ontario Drama and Dance Educators. Arthur holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Education from York University where he is a Master of Education student. This has led to work at the intersection of drama and education including as a guest artist and adjudicator for the Ontario Drama Festival and as a study guide developer. Recent projects include the study guides for Roseneath Theatre’s Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls and Head À Tête.
