Bryna Berezowska holds a Masters degree from North Park University in vocal performance and pedagogy. In addition to her extensive performing career, she has worked for over ten years in the field of arts and music as a teacher, mentor, administrator, and artist-educator. She performed with Chicago Opera Playhouse, and taught for many years with the Chicago Opera Theater’s outreach program and Chicago Arts Partnership in Education (CAPE). Through the CAPE program she had the pleasure of working with a fifth grade class in partnership with Renee Fleming’s outreach through the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Bryna strives to bring opera and performing arts to children and youth to enhance learning, build lifelong creativity, self-empowerment, and a genuine love of the arts. She has appeared in Murdoch Mysteries, in the Musical NINE in New York City, and various music videos, film and theater shows around the world. Her background includes opera, musical theater, jazz, pop/rock music as well as dance, acting, composition and more. She currently works with the Canadian Opera Company as the Children, Youth and Family Programs Manager, and is fulfilling a grant through Egale Youth Outreach teaching Trans-youth voice techniques, researching future strategies and facilitating a stronger voice for the queer and trans community.
