Trained at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, London,

and on scholarship at the Merce Cunningham Studio, New York. She has performed in concert

dance and performance art projects nationally and internationally, including works with

Connecticut Ballet, Christopher Caines Dance Company (New York), Alberta Aboriginal

Performing Arts (Edmonton), Moving Visions Dance Theatre (UK), and for Oxfam (in Central

Park, New York) and the United Nations (New York). She holds a Master of Arts from the

University of Kent, specialising in Ritual Dance and Ki Somatics, and her interests lie in the

areas including, but not limited to, shamanism, ritual, and temporal space as experienced through

codified forms of western dance, and how such forms may be used as a vehicle to numinosity,

catharsis, or flow state.
