Samantha is a Toronto-based theatre maker, actor and educator. Before moving to Toronto, Samantha had the joy of teaching at Geordie Theatre School in Montreal, where she fell in love with creating theatre with/for young people. She now works as an artist-educator at Young People’s Theatre, Shakespeare-in-Action, and The Travelling Stage. Samantha is co-founder of Hopegrown Productions, a theatre company dedicated to staging relevant stories featuring dynamic female-identifying characters. Hopegrown has produced/toured four original Canadian works to date. Samantha is a graduate of Concordia University’s BFA Theatre Performance program. She is also a member of Nightwood Theatre’s Young Innovators program (2019-2020).
