Ten Minute Trainwrecks Call for Submissions

Old Soles Theatre Collective is hosting a night of ten minute staged readings, short presentations, or anything you can think of to pitch us. The idea is to present pieces of a strange, silly, or absurd nature which would never be presented in any other format or produced by another company. You can send us scripts/excerpts, video recordings, or a short pitch of your idea. Be creative, send us anything you have that you think might fit the bill in whatever format you feel works best for you and your project. Feel free to submit as an individual, duo, group, collective, etc.

Ten Minute Trainwrecks is planned to be presented in mid to late January 2027 with an exact date and location to be determined. You’ll be asked to provide us with some idea of what resources you would require. While most things will be up to you to provide, we can help source actors, production support, and basic sets and props if needed. All technical needs will be provided by us, you will be confined to what is available in the chosen performance space. One of the pieces presented will be an Old Soles original project and we are looking to pick 5-7 other works depending on what we find in submissions.

There is no compensation associated with this project however, we will provide archival footage, limited rehearsal space, and production assistance as necessary.

Submission Instructions: You can submit a written pitch, scripts, audio, or video recordings. Written pitches should be no more than 2 pages. Audio or video recordings should be no more than 3 minutes. Script excerpts should be no more than 10 pages. Use this as a chance to tell us about your project or show us what material you already have.
