Machinal is a 96 year old expressionist, feminist play about a young woman who is pressured into marrying her older boss. They build a life together, have a family together, while she struggles with her true purpose and wants. Her freedom. And this search for freedom leads her to a bloody conclusion.

As the play was initially done with a very large cast, we are reducing scope and hiring each actor to perform a track of multiple roles to be determined upon casting.
At this time, The Flare is seeking submissions for female identifying folx of colour and those from underrepresented communities between the ages of 20 and 30. Please only submit if you fit this demographic at this time. Additional casting calls may be made in future.
