Still Your Friend

Still Your Friend’s fantastical treatments of true stories are designed to be a shock to thought for the audience and have toured the country, earning rave reviews and awards, since being founded by creator Adam Bailey in 2014.

The Assassination of Robert Ford: Dirty Little Coward, Adam Bailey is on Fire, The Life Henri and The ABCs of Love with Adult Baby Cupid have each found fresh approaches for the audience to consider queer life, #MeToo, religion, the politics of rage, and recovery from trauma, while never abandoning whimsy or humour.

The company is currently exploring the causes that drive young men to commit acts of political violence in Franz Ferdinand Must Die, a piece written and performed by Adam Bailey with direction by Tyler J Seguin and sound design from Alex Eddington. Called “smart” and “absorbing” by the CBC, this play straddles comedy and tragedy in its retelling of the events that started the First World War. Not just for the history buffs, this play has earned ★★★★ from the CBC, Winnipeg Free Press, Edmonton Journal and Global News, being hailed has a “Tour de Force”, “Madcap” and “Eerily Entertaining”.

Franz Ferdinand Must Die is being performed at The Red Sandcastle Theatre
