WeeFestival of Arts and Culture invites artists working in, or studying, theatre, dance, music, or puppetry arts to participate in the festival’s upcoming Professional Stream.

The 2024 WeeFestival will showcase a range of experimental performance works created especially for very young audiences by groundbreaking artists from Italy, Belgium, Senegal, Germany, France, as well as pioneering artists from across Canada. If you’ve been curious about what Theatre and Performance for Early Years looks and sounds like, this is your chance to learn.

As part of the WeeFestival Professional stream, you and a small group of delegates will have the opportunity to observe performances and the reactions of young audiences. Following each performance, you’ll engage in in-depth post-show conversations with the artists. These discussions occur during our Studies in Performance Practice sessions, which are facilitated by researchers and practitioners. Here, artists, producers, presenters, and scholars delve into the work, process, and ideas behind the shows.

On June 6 & 7, in the final week of the festival, delegates can participate in a masterclass workshop and join a stimulating day of discussions, demonstrations, and showcase presentations of new work commissioned or supported by WeeFestival.

The festival is offering a limited number of highly subsidised packages and Individual tickets. Participants are encouraged to enroll before May 10th but can reach out anytime if interested in any portion of the program

For more information and to register, please visit WeeFestival. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at Communications@weefestival.ca.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2024 WeeFestival Professional Stream!
