Let’s gather to dream big and collaborate on solutions that can help our sector and communities thrive!

We are so excited to invite you back to Nonprofit Driven, and look forward to connecting with you on May 14-15, 2024 at the Toronto Reference Library. As nonprofits continue to face daunting challenges and navigate rapidly changing contexts, let’s get together to dream big about how we can shape the future of our sector.

Our conference is Ontario’s largest nonprofit public policy forum, where you can expect to dig into topics that span from advocacy to social finance. Most importantly, Nonprofit Driven is a space to have fun, gain insights from diverse sector leaders, and contribute to the collective heartbeat that sustains nonprofit work! We will be releasing information about sessions, opportunities to network, plenaries, and workshops in the coming months.

Here are some exciting details we have already confirmed:

OPENING PLENARY

Dreaming what’s possible for nonprofits
ONN’s analysis of our 2023 sector survey concluded that if nothing changes by 2026, current trends will reach devastating levels. Despite facing complex, cross-cutting issues such as unprecedented demand for services, downward financial spirals, and staffing challenges, nonprofits continue to bring immense value to their communities all over Ontario. Dreaming is a critical component of changing systems and guiding us, nonprofits, towards the future we envision for ourselves. A dynamic keynote and diverse sector voices will kick off Nonprofit Driven 2024 and help us dream about the future together.

SESSION

Is it time for nonprofits to embrace artificial intelligence (AI)?
Before any nonprofit says yes or no to AI, there are many different angles to consider. In this session, six speakers will present their unique perspectives on AI, and provide the audience with some food for thought. From AI governance to resources for nonprofits, manifesto’s to ethics, the presenters – including nonprofit leaders – will cover a wide range of topics. The future of technology does not lie in our hands, but how our sector embraces it to support and protect communities does. Let’s shape that future together.

CARE TEAM
Nonprofit Driven will once again have an onsite care team and spaces to support attendees. The team includes ONN staff, volunteers, and active listeners who can be considered “go-to” people throughout the conference. All attendees will also have access to a quiet space, and mental health/wellness resources.

Conference registration

Early bird tickets are now on sale!
Before you register, we wanted to share more information about a new tiered pricing model we are implementing for tickets this year. This approach aims to acknowledge our vastly different relationships with, and access to, financial resources as organizations in the nonprofit ecosystem. We hope this model balances the varying budgets of organizations and increases access, while helping ONN to cover our conference costs. We’ve included brief descriptions to support your ability to choose the price-point that fits your organization. Please be mindful when choosing your ticket level.

NOTE: ONN members receive a $100 discount on all early bird and regular tickets. Only ONN members are eligible to access and use these discounts. For the member code, please reach out to info@theonn.ca.

Access looks different for everyone – so there is an opportunity to request accommodations that will enable your access directly in the registration form. The Toronto Reference Library is wheelchair accessible, including barrier-free and all-gender restrooms. The conference will take place on the ground and second floor, and will have a quiet room and private prayer space available.
