
Katie is a queer, multifaceted, theatre practitioner, based out of Toronto Canada. Katie holds an Honours Degree in Theatre production and performance from Queen’s University where she was awarded the William Angus Award for student advocacy and leadership. Katie is an experienced events and operations professional with deep roots in Toronto’s arts and culture sector. Over the past decade, she has built a career leading high-profile projects that bring people together; from donor galas and municipal advocacy initiatives to city-wide cultural celebrations.
As Operations Manager at the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA), Katie oversees event planning, partnerships, and venue management at The B Street Arts Hub. She plays a key role in producing flagship initiatives such as Arts Week at the City and the Dora Mavor Moore Awards, while doing her part to support over 160 TAPA members from the theatre, dance, and opera sectors across the city. Known for her ability to balance big-picture vision with behind-the-scenes detail, Katie is passionate about creating events that are seamless, impactful, and inclusive. Her favourite elements of this work are production and events management, and the interpersonal nature of the performing arts community.
Katie balances her career as an operations manager, with her love of performance and production and, during her downtime, writes and produces comedic cabaret performances with her friends.
