Heather is a Takatonto based artist with mixed settler and First Nations ancestry (Scottish, French and Mi’kMaq). She is an actor, playwright, theatre creator, director, educator, theatrical and therapeutic clown, Co-Artistic Director of U.N.I.T. Productions, and “Morro” of the Dora Award and Canadian Comedy Award winning clown duo Morro and Jasp. 

Heather has been a writer in residence at Factory Theatre and Mixed Company Theatre, as well as part of the Thundering Voices playwriting unit at Native Earth Performing Arts where she developed her show, Walking Forward, Facing Back (Weesageechak Festival, Native Earth). In 2018, Heather was part of Directors Lab North. She directed Julia Lederer’s “U-R-U” at NextStage, and the workshop production of Pest Me, Pet Me with Animacy Theatre Collective.

Performing credits include: A Tonic For Desperate Times (Theatre Gargantua – Dora Winner), Orphan Song (Tarragon), Morro and Jasp in Stupefaction (UNIT), Morro and Jasp: 9-5 (Factory Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Three Ships Collective), Remembering The Winnipeg General (Zietpunk – Dora Nominee Best Ensemble), Let’s Go (DMT Productions), Bright Lights (Theatre Brouhaha), Emily’s Piano (Young Peoples Theatre), The Money Tree (Roseneath -Dora Nominee for Best Ensemble ), Saving Hope (CTV), Reign (CW), Workin’ Moms (CBC). 

Heather’s web series (co-writer/performer/producer), The Supers, The Stoners and The Big Bad, was recently nominated for Best Ensemble and Best Comedy at LA Webfest.
